Transitional Whole Home Remodel in Overland Park, KS

Overland Park Dining Room - After

Before remodeling began, this house was a flashback to the 1970’s both in design and furnishings. The client wanted to stay in the house, but needed vast updates. Initially, the client contacted Brackman Construction Company to begin the remodeling process, and at their recommendation, Kansas City Interior Designer, Arlene Ladegaard of Design Connection, Inc. was brought it on the project.

Ladegaard began the task of designing and making necessary selections for the kitchen, master bathroom, bar area, flooring, paint colors, custom furnishings, lighting, and all the soft and hard goods for the project. The liaison between Design Connection, Inc. and the contractor was cohesive and gave the client reassurance that the project would flow smoothly.

The accessories and furniture were carefully selected to reflect the new contemporary design of the home with the remodel. Many of the accessories that made the space perfect, were carefully selected by Arlene at High Point Furniture Market. The palette and the overall design reflect the client’s desire for a more sophisticated, yet masculine space.

Our client loves his new home and is happy with the remodel and Brackman Construction expressed their appreciation for Design Connection’s organization, good communication, and thorough material specifications.

Design Connection, Inc., an interior design firm in Overland Park provided space plans for the kitchen, master bathroom and bar, material selections for the contractor, furniture, window treatments, accessories and project management.
