Lower Level in Blue Springs, MO

Blue Springs Lower Level Bar - After

This wonderful lower level was referred to Design Connection, Inc. by Lifestyle Remodeling. The clients home was 10 years old and they were wanting to update their lower level that to work better with the age of their now older children and for entertaining friends and family. They frequently eat dinner while watching news shows and sporting events and wanted a table that work for that purpose and for also playing board games. A built in fish tank was a high priority along with a bar that would replicate an English pub. A very special edition was a wine cellar with lots of storage for their favorite wines.

With careful space planning we were able to achieve their wants and needs. All the old golden oak cabinets and trim were darkened with a faux painting process. All new furniture was designed and purchased exclusively for the clients lifestyle and comfort. A seating area with a fun shaggy rug set the stage for many hours of family time watching the large flat screen. A game table that seats eight doubles as an eating area along with game top that turns over. Bar stools that were comfortable were a must have and a big hit when they were delivered.

A newly designed bar with lots of glass shelves for liquor bottles and beautiful granite countertops with glass mosaic tiles as accents took many hours to create just the right look and feel. The clients loved the cooper sink. The ceiling was accented with beam grid work and copper foil as accents. The Low voltage lights were a wonderful accent.

The wine cellar was a very special after thought to our project. It is small and might with lots of wine storage and a beautiful hand painted Tuscan scene. The iron and wood doors create the look and the feel of a European wine room. The hardwood floors are hand scrapped and are durable for their dogs and the traffic in and out of the backyard patio space which is used as extension of their lifestyle.

Design Connection, Inc. supplied space planning, faux painting design and labor, furniture, accessories, paint colors, area rugs, hardwood floor selection, lighting selections and project management.
